Calm Emotion
By: Taylor Donnelly

It's like slow motion
This calm emotion
This shuddering heart
I never felt like i could play that part
Oh that lovely little flower
Must be something in the water
Something in the day
Something in the solace of what you say
Lovely little flower
You hold all the power
Feet buried, head to the sky
You always ask why, oh why

It's your calm emotion
Calm emotion
It's a strange notion
Your calm emotion

Shivering against the cold
You do what your told
Little flower
Hate to see you cower
Want to pick you up hold you tight
Save you from fight
And you bend at the knees
Just to do as they please
You hurt worse then you let show
Even in the heat of passion cant let it go
Flesh on flesh the only comfort to you
But you cant believe that he'll ever be true

This calm emotion
Your calm emotion
It's a strange notion
Calm emotion

Does it mean anything more then a stray from reality
I know I should just let it be
But all I can see is you all over him
Begging for something more in the light gone dim
Knowing there will be no answer and diving back in
Back to the thing you crave the cold feeling of warm bare skin
