Canvas Skin Poem by Alicia Bridget Smith

Canvas Skin

Rating: 5.0

The canvas skin, that you're living in, there something not quite right.
The painted grin and the safety pins, are they mine tonight?
And the empty stare, that’s sleeping there, and you know there’s something wrong.
The words you say, i know it's all okay, coz you were right all along.
So i admit, i needed it, but you were dragged away,
And i fade like the words that i wrote in the sand,
As the waves close out the day.
