Orion is dancin' across the heavens
and there's stars in the eyes of the sisters seven
Mars comes courting the Earth tonight
til the moon ends their date with his paternal porch light
The celestial bodies all are acting mighty curious
There's Love up above, but none of it is Sirius
I blink out the window at the sparkling universe
Excuse me Jupiter, if l dance with Venus first.
Lovelovelove the sky-high creative spark here, Chuck... This is a very pretty poem, and I cannot choose a favorite line. It's absolutely perfect, a favorite. Est : ]

I love star gazing! Barry was right...this was a fun poem! Hugs, Dee
I love the mystery of the celestial phenomena - we did a play at school about Venus getting to marry Darkness (personified as a mishievous character) and Leap Year (personified as a beautiful girl called 'Skrikkeljanie' in Afrikaans) marrying the Sun - a benevolent character - loved your poem! Glad you opted to dance with Venus first. Kind regards, Margaret.

A mind-boggling tease between the stars and planets...you should drink less...siriously! Brightened my day, yet again :) Jack.
