Chasing Dreams Poem by Yasmin Khan

Chasing Dreams

Rating: 4.7

In woods deep and dreamy blue
Boughs embracing, high and low
Disc of moon serene and soft
Like a gem from heaven’s loft
Hangs in the air, wafting fragrance
From flowery bed flowing in cadence
And a fairy girl moves and scamper
To chase her dreams in balmy air
Dreams like butterflies in the dark glow
She traces them with a net as she goes
Her flaring robe, her tresses long
A flower in hand and hums a song
In velvety evening sweet and moony
She’d catch her dreams or only moves in fancy?

It is good never give up our dream, because there is a lesson in each. Some comes through, but then we see it was not really that special, some takes longer or some never comes in, because our subconscious knows what is the next lesson for us. However, when we arrive to the point that wait upon the Lord, what ever comes, be grateful for it and stop wanting and wishing, but enjoy the moment, every moment, that is when we find true happiness. Until then keep on wishing and dreaming. This is life.
