Child no more

I have had my heartbreaks
I have broken down and started all over
I have conquered all of my fears
And now i am ready to grow up

I am a child no more
I am shedding that skin
So that i may become something more
So that i will be able to face this world

There will be no more childs games for me
I have gained what i need to survive
Some of my knowledge came a bit harshly
But who said the path of life was straight and smooth

There is nothing left for me to say
I have taken what i need
In some way, this is goodbye
For i am a child no more
