Christmas Highlights Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Reflections of a Christmas tree and it's little lights shining
back at me in a window, remembering past seasons of yesterday
with joy and happiness.

Reliving memories with family and friends that have since
passed on before us, all the highlights that have passed us
by, still remembered in pockets of our minds.

Looking back upon them as we grow older, thinking once again
of the times we've shared with loved ones, each light, every
ornament a part of our lives together.

Some made by our children when younger, now our grandchildren
doing the same things in newly creative ways, all of it being
retained in our minds throughout the years of our lives.
