Circles Arranged In Squares Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Circles Arranged In Squares

Circles arranged in squares, forming dull and mundane patterns
on seats of chairs here at a community college, bringing many
thoughts to mind, questions too.

Wondering why the patterns are more complex designs attuned
to young people's knowledge that has yet to be tapped and
explored.

Opening a mind at times with just an artistic line or angle,
jutting silently into a thought, bringing about a new theory
or solution to an ancient mystery.

One that's still unknown after centuries of people have in-
vestigated and researched thoroughly, yet still having no
concrete answers to date.
