Clitoris Poem by gershon hepner

Clitoris

Psychiatrists haven’t decided
how to make horny women excited.
Best way, lady sitter, is
touching the clitoris
with your tongue, taking care not to bite it.

If you, by the way, cannot find
the clitoris, don’t look behind,
It’s not in the arse
where your hand made a pass,
but the front where your tongue should have dined.

Natalie Angier, in 'Woman: An Intimate Geography' (Houghton Mifflin) says that Freud had it all wrong. His theory that clitoral orgasm is infantile and vaginal orgasm mature should be seen as 'a blot on history's understanding of female sexuality'. Ms Angier writes that the clitoris has no greater end than to serve women's pleasure unlike its male drudge homologue that must be on duty for urination as well as ejaculation (Marilyn Yalom “Science and Politics Mapped on a Woman's body, ” NYT, April 8,1999) .
