Colours Of Life Poem by Bireswar Halder

Colours Of Life

I called one diamond staring at her,
She felt bashful to become partner
I proposed to overcome all obstacles
If she joined hands it will be a miracle.

After deep thought, she told two hearts
I was overwhelmed as a bridge to start
We were in great zeal with each other
To continue the loving game farther.

Three clubs - when I exclaimed to her,
She understood my call but no answer
The opponents were crazy and zealous
To see our beautiful pair a marvelous.

At the end I shouted for three spades,
She broke down as no more calls I made
Keeping head on my bosom, she murmurs,
"Lastly you`ve cheated me, oh my dear."

Human life - a combination of colours
Everybody may not get its full flavour,
But spade is a must - none can avoid it,
May it come early or late a little bit.
