Combing Through Memories Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Combing Through Memories

Resting in an ebony darkness as evening keeps moving forward
in time, unleashing reasons that have been in hiding because
ghost riders don't take to company very well.

Rushing in a cloudy sky, looking for what they've missed over
the years, stretching out, combing through memories that will
eventually be a page in a poetry book.

An inescapable tribute to those poems that are carried formally
into an underground of placid questions that need to be answer-
ed for it's not ever been done to date.

Scouting surrounding thoughts that have been left hanging like
spider webs on windows that haven't been looked out of in many
years now, rolling in and out of melodies while being played
to through musical rhythms.
