Concert... Poem by Nestor David Armas

Concert...

Bass in the thunder

Snare in the raindrops

Against the awnings,

Chimes ringing in the wind

I'm hearing a little tune

Rhythm of the rain

The tempo rises

Heavier and heavier,

I jump once

And then again

Into the puddles; wet

I'm overjoyed,

Fall rain fall

You wash away

My sadness,

Relieve

My solitude,

Drop after drop

Rejuvenating me,

I'd like for always

To feel your caress

As you sing,

With lightning,

Strum my bones,

I smile towards the heavens,

The clouds heavy

With tiny balloons filled

Of the sea and the breeze

That refreshes my spirit;

Don't stop the concert...
