Contrasts are directly proportional to each other,
Their ratio always remains constant,
Higher the pleasure higher the pains,
Lesser the pleasure lesser the pains,
This constant of proportionality,
Is also directly proportional,
To the deeds and misdeeds,
Some believe it includes deeds of the past life,
Some say it’s only the deeds of the present life,
Anyway, it’s Karma that determines the fate,
But above it is a fate that is not hung,
That is a nature’s control,
That keeps us within the limits,
And that definite fate constrains us,
To believe in a God,
Who writes it and enforces it.
Proportionality and God are the key words! What an interesting poem!
Too philosophic, but the readers at PH are intelligent enough to understand it......................10
It seems that the Muse has permanently settled within you! You prove to be at equal ease with love poems and philosophical poems! Though many believe that our Karma decides our fate, I don't think so.....at least in this world! The One above decides our fate!

I would like to translate this poem
Higher the pleasure higher the pains, Lesser the pleasure lesser the pains, .....yes sir, we have to tackle much pain to get much pleasure. And also it is true, I mean, we get fruits as per our karma. So nicely speculated the poem Contrasts'. Thanks for sharing....10
