Daffodils In Winter (Cavatina) Poem by Gert Strydom

Daffodils In Winter (Cavatina)

Close to the waterside were daffodils,
hidden by trees,
some of their seeds might have been blown ashore
by the strong breeze,
but many more appeared suddenly
they did not freeze,
blossomed in the icy winter snow
and among the mossy stones they did glow.
