Dangerous Feelings Poem by Natalia Ortiz

Dangerous Feelings

To be told one could never find his happiness in you is so cold,
But when it's said that the happiness you once shared is dead, and can never be found again seems, terrifyingly unrealistic,
But TRUE
The very words uttered unto you, Numb your body completely.
From you head to your feet you can barely breath, as that one
Moment of what you seemed to know as your better half
Releases that one moment of HIS truth unto you.!
A twilight daze takes over your soul,
your bones seem to shiver with no control
Questions begin to pierce your mind
How could I allow the fire burning from within him, burn me to my very core?
How could I not feel the HEAT of his WRATH coming to attack my most inner self?
How could it be, that for so many years I found joy and happiness, Even when the fiery of our anger sizzled off our very lips in exchange to one another,
Even when the heaviest tears weighed down on my face I could still look into his eyes, and every bad moment was erased?
Through his hugs, his love I embraced?
It just leaves me amazed.
How the place were we seem to feel the most safe, is were the VENOM seeps into our veins and slowly scars up the heart,
until
Ones self is completely torn apart.
Though we look, and feel as if we are untouchable to the pollutants and evil ways of this world.
We are decomposing inside. With every word that pierces you and leaves you breathless in your tracks.
But love has us BLINDED to the feeling of Unhappiness we become immune.
So much so that one truly forgets what the Reality of LOVE and HAPPINESS really is, Forgetting the ORIGINAL form of TRUE HAPPINESS, Not being able to Remember the warm magnificent manifestation Of the Heavenly sent gift From the HEAVENS above
TRUE LOVE.
From the moment he uttered those words unto me I felt, so incomplete But I have to find me,
And hopefully be able to express happiness with someone who will except it
and not reject it.
