Dear Friend

Dear friend
You said it'd never end
Our friendship would never bend
You've been talking a lot at school
Trying to be all cool
I hope you know I still think you rule

Dear friend
I saw you with that guy
Why do you even try
You know it won't last
and everything he's done in the past
I just don't want to see you in pain
your heart covered with a big stain.

Dear Friend
I feel our friendship slipping
And tears begin a dripping
I think of the past
And wish it would last

Dear friend
I heard you today
All those nasty things you say
It made my cry
Oh why, Oh why

Dear friend
I can't believe you hurt me
you didn't even care
A friendship like ours
It is so rare.
This I just can't bare

Dear Friend
I just want it all to end
Not another day I'll spend
So I guess this is goodbye
Don't say you didn't know why
This is the end
My dear friend

Poem of the Day

poet Sir John Suckling

Dost see how unregarded now
That piece of beauty passes?
There was a time when I did vow
To that alone;
But mark the fate of faces;
