Desperation Of Trespassed Life Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Desperation Of Trespassed Life

man perceives
subconsciously

with pain
-laden
inner eye

piercing shaft
lays
vampire heart

to rest

thus

symbolising
an innate
dread of death

all allure gifts
vivacious vivid
carnal spiritual

alike

are conquered
when suffering
terror spasms

coursing through
failing frame
defeat faith hope

as soul
succumbs
to ultimate

chill
shadow
rooted

in
indifferent
death

the desperation
of trespassed

life

is transitory

the piercing shaft
that lays
the vampire heart

to rest
