i lay down curl like cocoon
searching that warmth
that keep my heart beating
ancient smell of earth
permeates from beyond
carried by unknowing wind
i close my eyes not my senses
mapping every inch of fibers
stitches that try to stop my fingers
loose cotton wraps around
i push myself up to headboard
i can't go on but silently cry
