Dispassionate Hearts Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Dispassionate Hearts

Listening to people singing what they've gone through in
this life, tears being shed because others can relate to
what their words are saying.

People falling along the wayside, just because they have
no one to understand what their hearts, minds and souls
are saying and standing for in this world.

Wondering if God was here if they'd treat Him with the
same dispassionate hearts, not wanting to pass the time
of day with Him at all.

Waking from a trepid darkness, thinking about the truth,
living in circles alone in the emptiness, heart bleeding
tears, salted, burning the wounds left in God's heart and
others in this world.
