Do you know who you were
Before you were known as you?
Will you learn who you were
Before this life is through?
Probably not,
But it does not matter.
For who you are now
Will tear and tatter.
And the bits and pieces
Of this one life
Will remember the struggles
And remember the strife.
Do you know who you will be
When you’re not you eventually?
Will you awaken to who you will be
Before you encompass eternity?
Probably not,
But that is alright.
For who you will be
Is still out of sight.
But those glorious wonders
Of a life yet to come
Won’t remember the things
You left undone.
