Whenever you are writing in a manner that is British,
just think in Yiddish so that your ideas are skittish,
for Yiddish flows like wine with noshen,
that’s why it’s called the mammeloschen––
Noshen, noshen, mammeloschen?
Let me see if there’s another
rhyme for these words. It’s no bother!
“Pirates, Caribbean ocean! ”
like “lot o’ news, ” “hypotenuse, ”
to which I now add gottenus––
of all the people whose contempt
for bourgeois backgrounds may attempt
to show that they are models of iconoclastic majors
bilingually while barbing like the barding of the sages.
