My prayer is for a better world,
where love reigns strong and all is peace.
One that is full of goodly acts,
and happiness can but increase.
My prayer is that mankind will care,
for this our earthly dwelling place.
To not abuse God’s precious gift,
of treasures, from his holy grace.
My prayer’s that hate will disappear,
and harmony in friendships grow.
To show the Lord we value life,
and that we trust his way to go.
My prayer is that we all can do,
the things needed to save our land.
For if we don’t, then there will be
no home, for man, just dust and sand.

prayers for a beautiful world nonetheless. great write.
Ernestine, you express with eloquence and poetic skill your plea to God to save our precious planet. It was a native American Indian, I believe who said something similar 'We do not inherit the earth from our parents, but rather we borrow it from our children.' Irrespective of race or religious persuasion, the message of conservation and care rings true as steel. Thanks for sharing these wise and wonderful words. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
