Escaped Meanings Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Living in the sacredness of humanity, finding meaning in
life through the years, yet every time recognizing it,
as it escaped us without a trace.

Starting over and over as we age and move into our final
future on sunsetical shores, realizing our meaning is non-
existent for we only leave memories and reminders.

All of them being here in minds and hearts of family and
friends, crossing paths with strangers momentarily, we
find that life will end up ahead.

Seeing that we have no choice in the matter for our so-
called meanings we thought we had, always die within us
leaving life behind as our souls enter heaven.
