Every Line Poem by Viola Grey

Every Line

Rating: 3.5

You think you are knowing me
but what is it you truely see -
what I am trying to scream,
or what you want to believe.

Every line opens a broken scar,
further from who we really are,
leaving just a fallen shell
of all we'll never tell.

This hidden me is yours alone now,
every smile, every frown.
These lines are my sacred vow,
that's why I have to get them out.

I'm with Fay! The turnaround in those two lines is brilliant! Tony

A favourite phrase for me is 'the hidden me is yours alone now' - - this committment is so honestly penned - - ah I shall remember that - - - a lovely piece in all.........10 from Fay.

Every line indeed, and yours convey so very much...I'm with Kevin Wells, 'who' is a lucky devil.
