Every Moment Poem by Melissa Gray

Every Moment

Rating: 5.0

I never understood what it's like to feel pain,

I never understood why bad things happen,

But standing here in this freezing rain,

I now know why people cry,

But why does God allow this?

Why does he allow people we love to die?

Take them away from us so cruelly,

When all we want is to have them by our side,

Life is so unfair, so drastic,

Maybe all this is for a reason?

Sometimes I want to call you,

But I won't see you until I get to Heaven,

Everday I'm reminded,

The color of the sky turns to gray,

Reminding me of the sadness,

Why did He have to take you away?

If there is one thing I've learned,

From this horrible mess,

Is that everyday is precious,

So live it like its your last.
