Goodbye Poem by Melissa Gray

Goodbye

Rating: 5.0

Please don't leave me now,

I'm sure we can work this out somehow,

I don't want to let this love go to waste,

Just because of my stupid mistakes,

All I ask is that you forgive me

All I ask is that you listen to my pleas,

I could even write you a song,

That says 'I admit that I was wrong',

Let's just close our eyes and pretend this never happened,

I pray to God your heart hasn't blackened,

I need you like I need to breathe,

I pray you read this and see what's underneath,

I can't live without you, I hope you know,

Love takes a while to grow,

I hope you will forgive me tonight,

Because I never want to say goodbye.

I know, I know. This is inexcuseably short, but this was more of a writer's block thing.
