Ex's Stories Poem by Randy McClave

Ex's Stories

When I cut her off from my life
When I divorced her from being my wife,
There are reasons why I did what I done
As I think about it, my life I won.
The reason why I sued her for a divorce
And the reason why I took that terrible drastic course,
I believed that reasoning is between only her and me
And not for the whole country.

When I didn't want her as a girlfriend no more
I stopped seeing the woman I once did adore,
And I believed that was just between her and me
Not between those or them or even we.
I stopped seeing her for a reason
It was during the Christmas season,
And of course there was a reason why
And about the justification I would not ever lie.

Now my ex's are telling fictitious stories
That they invented in their minds laboratories,
Something that they had fiendishly created
Unto which I am the only one fated.
Of course the story isn't truthful or full or exact
As they enjoy stabbing knives in my back,
And of course they will never apologize or repent
They just want to make me look bad, and them innocent.
