To fall down from heaven, Wouldn't be so bad. I could be loved, now Tell me, how's that's sad? Instead of taking lives, I could help keep you alive.
If I was just like the rest of you, I know just who I'd want to be. I'd become a doctor, maybe a nurse, And help everyone who has been hurt. I'd be so grateful for the fact that I can die, Because even when I do I can tell God That I was alive.
Wish I could make you smile, Wish I could just stay a while. Wish I was the someone who was loved, Wish I could just fall from above...
I want to be a fallen angel. I want to know what it's like to be alive. I don't care if I die the day I fall, I just want to know if I'm missing anything at all.
Wish I was the one you lay down beside, Wish I was the one that tucked you in tonight. Wish I was the one you wanted around, Wish I could just fall to the ground.
I heard a girl cry last night, 'Why'd you take my dad, please tell me why, Couldnt you hear me screaming to him all night 'Please, Daddy, don't lose this fight! '? '
Well, Wish I could just hold you tight, Wish I could stay with you all through the night. Wish I could hold your heart, Wish I could keep you safe from harm.
Wish I didn't have to make you cry, Wish I didn't make you have to say goodbye. Wish I was the one who was holding you, Wish I was the one who promised he would make it through.
Wish I was the one who stood beside that bed, When the doctor said, 'Here comes his head.' Wish I was the girl who smiled and cried, Hearing her baby brothers first few cries.
Wish I was the one who held that child, Saying 'Look at him! He has his mothers eyes.' Wish I was the one who gave birth to the child, So I can finally say 'I've given you life.'
Wish I could just make you smile, Wish I could just stay a while. Wish I was the someone who was loved, Wish I could just fall from above.
I want to be a fallen angel. I want to know what it's like to be alive. I don't care if I die the day I fall, I just want to know if I'm missing anything at all.
