Fear Poem by Darren Harris

Fear

Living in a world full of fear,
Nightmares haunt me day and night,
Entities forever screaming,
Pulling me towards the light,

Creatures of my imagination,
Walking in limbo in my mind,
All of them searching for tranquillity,
A stillness that they cannot find,

Because they are blinded by their fears,
And the bright light is all they see,
But some are bound by a chain of thorns,
And their fears will never set them free,

So in limbo they’ll forever suffer,
In a mind that’s being torn apart,
By memories of an innocent child,
A lifeless soul without a beating heart.
