Fear Of Unknown Poem by Taiwo Obafemi

Fear Of Unknown

Yeah! I think and think for many sittings
I tried to know but never know
My heart beats faster as of jet fighter
Darkness covers the blues skies
Oh! Who can tell and say the future's mind?
I find and find and find no sleep
Home alone all the way
And all the way lonesomeness
I dwell in the state of dilemma
The more I tried to figure out
The more confused and thoughtless I become

Yeah! Worries voice in me
And anxieties seek me for companionship
I tried to run but find no way
I tried to crawl but feeble
I tried to see but never gain sight
My mind trying to walk away
And I call and call but to no avail
The center could not just hold
My body parts could not speak one
Tomorrow pregnancy I must abort
But I have no tools for it
I keep on dreaming and never wake up
The time flies beyond my reach

I know one day breakthrough shall come
Wow! Now I got it
I got a living proof around me
I got a living testimony
I saw the open door widely opened
This is a new dawn
A new song at the top of my voice
And a new face at the mirror of my life
