Forest Theme Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Forest Theme

Birds have flown away
and I am lonely,
now on this cold day
with pleasures so empty.
Oh, life where has it gone
the beauty I knew,
the summer and the sun
and my love with you.

Day has gone so dark
winter is now here,
glow and sunshine spark
gone from everywhere.
Dreams are still in night
through the dim deep,
moon in blueish light
hours will now keep

Feelings in sorrow
with raindrops falling,
hope is in tomorrow
then new spring is calling.
Oh, life I am lonely
like the trees so leafless,
in a garden now empty
of singing and caress.
