Forty Quatrains On Battlefield [34- 36] Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Forty Quatrains On Battlefield [34- 36]

34. The gold plated ornament worn Chozhan Chenganan fought
a fierce battle with his foes. The brave warriors hurled the shining
lances on the foes. The foxes bit and grasped the slipping down bowels from the stomach of the fatally hurt soldiers and pulled them off.
The fox seemed a hound tied to a pillar by a chain.

35.Kaveri, the perennial river was overflowing and irrigating the land
Of Chozhan Chenganan. The royal elephants fell down hurt along with
their kings. That was like the royal elephants smashed against the lion at the top of the Redhills and the hills got tired and broke in striking thunders.

36.Chozhan Chenganan of the Kaveri drenching land captured the town
"Kazhumalam" in Chera country. When he killed the foes in the battle,
The horses kicked the foes and their fallen umbrellas turned upside down and looked like the crushed mushrooms by the herds of cows.
