Forty Quatrains On Rainy Season [31 - 35] Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Forty Quatrains On Rainy Season [31 - 35]

1.The excited buffalo crossed over the cloud-capped bank of a tank
and reached the waters by adorning itself with creepers and be proud
in the rainy season like a great warrior. The season makes the sign
to join my heroine with fair forehead. So speed up the chariot.

2.The beetles with the pleasure of an undying glory seeking
rich man's mind, hum around the plant ‘Pida'.
O, charioteer, hurry up the chariot
like the galloping clouds to see my heroine.

3.The germinated clouds drew water from the sea and shower it down
in this rainy season on reaching the western ghats. To relieve the misery of my ignorant heroine, the proper time to go is this rainy season. So you speed up the chariot!

4.The clouds drink up in excess the waters of the sea, germinate and reach the western-ghats.The clouds get pregnant in the rainy season.
Our hero promised to the headgear worn heroine, the time of his return. So he will be sure to come.

5.The hero has gone off long and the heroine suffer with pallor
and other agonies. For her sake, the elegant clouds clap like thunder
like the victory proclaiming drums
feel pity for the miserable heroine.
