standing on the balcony
looking down the garden unkept
blossoms fading-wilting
crying for attention
weary from neglect
once so alive- thriving
full of life - passionate
brilliant colors
flourishing
blowing in the wind
a garden of happiness
full of laughter
the gardener touched his flowers
with tender loving care
looking from the balcony
the gardener is no longer there.
A valuable view that presents a realistic view of life. well done my friend,
A Beautiful poem Heather. Flowers too require love and care to bloom to its full. Loved the imagery of words you used in this beautiful poem. Thanks for sharing with us.
Great imagery put down beautifully on a canvas of poetry........Heather......phenomenal write indeed
All things had endings and beginnings....It maybe painful to let it go but as the time goes by you will learn accept.
In continuance of Faded Yesterday past haunts...painfully itched the heart with the ointment of dew to heart lovely

My favourite lines: standing on the balcony looking down the garden unkept blossoms fading-wilting As the poet stands at the balcony and views the beauty of life as it 'blossoms'. the poet continues to appreciate the brilliant colours, which are the varieties of life and makes life interesting. However in the last stanza, we are told how suddenly, all these varieties and colourful imagery disappears. If interpreted literally too, it makes a perfect poem with nicely captured scenes. Well written!
