Givin' Them Away

Rating: 5.0

$28 a kilo are limes
in the shop.
I'm givin' them away here,
where,
after 4 days above 40,
my tree did a drop.

Instead of adding
water, sugar, salt and cumin
to the juice of boiled, strained raw plums, *
this time
I won't even need to boil:
I'll add 'em to lime.

* The raw mango drink with those elements
is called aam panir in India.
It is supposed to ease
the effects of a heat wave.
Living temperate, devoid of raw mango,
I went raw plum those 4 days.
Not bad.

I like 'givin' and 'em', so like Kipling Superb technique, which you might use more often.

This sounds like a very tasty drink. I like your use of 'em' which reminds me of Kipling's technique. I feel thirsty now.

A drink with mango and lime? Sounds really good! I drank some mango nectar just today. Still have some in the fridge. Might put some lime juice in it...
