God Comforts! Poem by Veeraiyah Subbulakshmi

some said world would end in 2012,
to our happy surprise we are still alive,
notes of astrology and anecdotes failed,
world didn't end as told many times.

ball of fires from sky and core of our sins,
glaciers of ice from poles and frozen man kind,
men of many and few books were confident,
earth mother would be frozen for ever

hall of fires has the podium of Ice,
where we knitted together as single mind,
hope in ourselves hold us all together,
none ever predicted current status of ours

weeks have gone to celebrate months,
let months not end in teary year, Lord
