You didn’t say good night last night...

You didn’t bid me sweet dreams...

There was no “sleep well and tight” last night…

You didn’t visit me in my dreams…



And the pain breaks with the morning…

As my heart awakes in torment..

For there is this feel of burning..

The feel of heartache and lament…



You didn’t say good night last night…

No, you didn’t bid sweet dreams…

No “sleep well and tight” last night…

You didn’t care visit me in my dreams…



Now the day breaks with my mourning…

As my heart breaks in each moment…

And it never stops its sighing…

For lessons it has never learnt…



There was no “good night” last night…

No sweet words before I sleep…

Now the pain greets with the morning…

And my heart, in silence, weep…
