Grief Poem by Mary Rodriguez

Grief

Sometimes life ends too soon; it's all too brief
Honor the good memories; as you work through the grief
Life's so precious; and death a thief
My words seem so feeble; in times such as these
It's never easy; passing leaves a certain void
Fill that empty space; with remembered joys
Tears of sadness from a caring heart; you show
It's hard to understand; when a good person has to go
We have to trust in a greater purpose; from the One above
Hold on tighter; to the ones you love
Gather comfort; knowing they're in Gods care
I hope it makes the pain; easier to bear
Don't let darkness consume; in times of sorrow
Look for the sunshine; in every tomorrow
During times of loss; it's hard to construe
My heart aches; for what you're going through
My arms are around you; I'll be by your side
Let my love surround you; in me you can confide
