Haitians, Haitians, Be Proud Of Our Beautiful Bicolor Flag Poem by Hebert Logerie

Haitians, Haitians, Be Proud Of Our Beautiful Bicolor Flag

Haitians, Haitians, be strong and proud of our identity.
Toil joyfully and be proud of our Bicolor: blue and red.
Haitians, Haitians, be free and proud of our nationality.
Toil happily and be proud of our Bicolor: black and red.

Our ancestors have fought and sacrificed for our colors.
Haitians, Haitians, be positive, courageous and optimistic;
And drive out of our soil the false patriots, the traitors,
The boas, the henchmen, the hooligans, and the thieves.

Haitians, Haitians, let's strive for a better tomorrow.
Toil happily and be proud of our Bicolor: black and red.
Haitians, the future at hand is as beautiful as a rainbow.
Toil joyfully and be proud of our Bicolor: blue and red.

Hoisting the flag of a brother country, while singing:
"La Dessalinienne",
Is an insult, a sacrilege, a serious mistake, and a big sin.
Haitians, Haitians, let's unite to conquer our happiness,
And avoid committing blasphemous and futile foulness.

Haitians, we are all responsible for our lives and behaviors.
Our brave ancestors have fought and sacrificed for our colors.
Haitians, it is our duty to help and protect our Haiti Chérie.
Let's unite. We must drive out the thieves from our oasis.

Haitians, it is shameful. It is an unjustified insult to hoist
The flag of our Brazilian brothers or others while singing:
Our pretty Dessalinienne. Show pride and raise our voice
For our sweet Haiti. Be valiant and vigilant. Let the bells ring.

The blood flowing through our veins is precious and special.
Haitians, Haitians, let us unite to forge a better destiny.
Haitians, Haitians, the future at hand is bright and rosy.
The blood flowing through our veins is powerful and imperial.

Haitians, Haitians, let us be free and proud of our identity.
Toil happily and be proud of our Bicolor: black and red.
Haitians, Haitians, be strong and proud of our nationality.
Toil joyfully and be proud of our Bicolor: blue and red.

P.S. This poem is dedicated to the Brave People of Haiti and to
Mr. Justin Lhérisson, a Great Poet, who wrote the lyrics of "La Dessalinienne", the Haitian National Anthem.
