Happy Anniversary
today
we plan to do
something different;
we will be celebrating
on purpose.
this deliberate premeditated act
will appear suddenly
out of nowhere,
a cornucopia of inexpressible emotion
as if on purpose. Opposed, however,
to our mutual autonomic response
to one another,
it will be exposed
for the counterfeit it really is.
we celebrate everyday
just by breathing
in each other's presence.
