He Said 'Walk With Me'
He said 'Walk with me'
'And talk with Me'
'Give Me your burdens'
'And I'll set them free'
He said 'Walk with me'
'Along by My side'
'For I have felt your burdens'
'You keep bottled up inside'
He said 'Walk with me'
'As I touch your hand'
'For I am the healer'
'Who walks among man'
He said 'Walk with me'
'As we look into your past'
'Then you might understand'
'How love was meant to last'
He said 'Walk with me'
'And talk with me'
'For each time you cry'
'Your hurting is what I see'
He said 'Walk with me'
'I won't lead you a stray'
'For everyone is special'
'Heaven is where they should stay'
He said 'Walk with me'
'For you are My son'
'I will only listen'
'Never put you under the gun'
He said 'Walk with me'
'Across these burning sands'
'Though you see only one footprint'
'I am still holding your hand'

'And my ears are all yours'
'Just as sure as the sea'
'Splashes against the shores'

'My precious child'

This poem deserved a 10, so that's what I gave it. It has unique qualities because the writer possesses them. He simply wrote those qualities into his poem. I know this man. Sometimes, we communicate not just a message to others. We communicate ourselves. To give this less than ten, would be a devaluation of the writer and the man. GW62
