Her Eyes Were Full Of Water Or A Tribute To Alain Barrière (Bellec) Poem by Hebert Logerie

Her Eyes Were Full Of Water Or A Tribute To Alain Barrière (Bellec)

Her Eyes Were Full Of Water
Or A Tribute To Alain Barrière (Bellec)

Her eyes were full of water
However, she was not weeping
This fall has been hot and humid
She had a black veil on her arms
She was amazingly pretty
And very lovely on the couch
I was very happy and delighted
To be her charming lover.

Her eyes were a little wet
She was smiling, but she was not wailing
My heart was turned upside down and broken
I wanted to touch her arms at all costs
My God, I hesitated a priori, at first
I didn't know what to say and what to do
She was very, very kind and pretty
Like a flower, like a mother.

She was so lovely and so pretty
That I wept for a long time
In secret, on her porch
Thank goodness, her parents were away
Tomorrow, spring will come
Our eyes will hardly be wet
The sun and the wind will be present
To charm her divine beauty.

P.S. I dedicate this poem to Alain Barrière (Bellec) , a singer-poet whom I loved so much.
