How I Am Saved Poem by Leslie Alexis

The do, that I do when I do
Does not get me into heaven!
That’s the devil misguiding you, brethren.
Remember that good ol’ deed called grace?
It’s God’s only way of saving the human race!
God realized that we just could not win,
By ourselves, the battle against sin;
So on the cross, the lost was saved
When Jesus conquered death, hell, and the grave.
Now the doing, does not affect God’s heart
For hands oft do out of force, but God sought
For us to do out of love: When the heart affects the hand.
My friend, the only way to see the promise land
Is to accept Jesus Christ, the 'God' man.
