I am free

I am free

I am spirit in a body, I am free.
It does not matter
what another does
He or She is the same as me.

I have learnt for good many years
And have traveled many lands
But all the knowledge in the world
Was but a tiny grain of sand

The truth of it I now know
Neither the big nor the tall
Can make me feel small
For I am a liberated soul

I'm not attached to tales of whims
Nor religious guile of the minions
I'm not attached to sorrow
Or happiness of millions

For these are but a state of mind
A mind within a body
And when the body dies so shall these
Emotions of a nobody

I've learnt to remove the I in me
And the Wisdom let me be
To soar the heavens in my true nature
To be free

Poem of the Day

poet William Butler Yeats

WINE comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That's all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
