time bends and slows it's breath when you are near

i never held that moment in my hands

the moment you first saw me and knew my faults

you accepted me for all of my imperfections

you laughed at all of my screw ups and told me to try again

you never gave up on me or lost hope

i love that about you

i crave the way your love cradles me

the softness that breaks my fall

the warmth that i emerse myself in

i lust for your touch and i desire your thoughts

as individual as we are when we are together

the edges blur until i see life complete

our friendship is our anchor

our future is the sea

i don't know how i was so blind to you before

but i am here now

head bowed

eyes closed

on bended knees

whispers of hope escape from my lips

as i open my heart

to you.
