I Am In Mourning Poem by Hebert Logerie

I Am In Mourning

Full of sorrow
I am in mourning
Early tomorrow
Morning, darling
Before the roosters
Commence to sing
Before the sisters
Start crying
Before the brothers
Start screaming
Before the bells start
Wailing and ringing
Before my poor heart
Loses strength like a spring
That can no longer carry
On its shoulder the weight
Of a world in a sorry
Mood. I'm alone and desperate
I'm sad. I won't see you again
I won't be able to smell you again
Touch and play with you again
Stare at you and love you again.

Now, you're gone
With the wind like a song
With a monotonous tone
Something is wrong
Now, you're done
You are very dead
I feel very bad
I feel utterly sad
There's no more fun
I'm mad. I won't hear from you again
I won't be able to laugh with you again
Sit on you and cry with you again
Kiss you and love you again.
