I Am Third Poem by Perry Biggerstaff

I Am Third

Let's be imperfect together
Not afraid to make mistakes
Sacrifice and love forever
Do whatever that it takes

Let's give in to gentle feeling
Through the passing of the years
Hold hands while we're praying, kneeling
Wipe away each other's tears

Let's have arms forever holding
Kisses sweet as late spring rain
Love completely, all enfolding
And swear each day to love again

Let's celebrate with wonder, splendor
More than we have ever known
Whisper words both sweet and tender
When we find ourselves alone

Lets look upon the morning dawning
Delight ourselves in simpler things
Spend the waking hours fawning
In what the day together brings

Let's put our faith in Who is deserving
And in the promise of His word
Each day I'll spend with you, observing
He's first, you're second…and I am third.
