I Can Stand Where You Stand
We do not need each other
but the only place I can stand to be,
is anywhere with you at my side
every night and most days.
While we go through your life,
(so planned and so stable)
hold me in the palm of your hand,
(your rich and warm hand that's so able)
so at cross-ways, on freeways and for always
I can stand where you stand.
