I Do Love You Poem by Peter S. Quinn

I Do Love You

I do love you because I love you
And I am trying to be true,
My love is here to be loved
And because I always need you.

Lives feelings might wither away
And dreams might never become true,
But still, I love you always the same way
And my heart just always waits for you.

I Know nothing is for sure
It is just there in all its coming and going,
And life is a flickering wing
In a time of destines not knowing.

But I love you still and love you
With everything, my heart can give,
For you are to me what love is
A love of giving and love to revive.
