I Have Longed For You To Live Again For Me Poem by Mark Heathcote

I Have Longed For You To Live Again For Me

Rating: 5.0

Because I have lost a part of you
I have longed to lose a part of me
I have longed to follow in shadows of you
Because I have lost a part of me

Oh, how I’ve longed to rediscover you
How I’ve longed for you to again, love me
Because I have lived without you
Oh, how I’ve longed for you to live again for me.

Oh, how I’ve longed for me and you
Because once wasn’t we, fine
Because once wasn’t we, fine
Because once wasn’t we a lot more than fine.

Back then nothing was left borderline!
Not even the sparkle in your coal-pit eyes.
Do you remember the nights spent serpentine?
Oh, how I wish we could again… fraternize.

Oh, how I’ve longed to rediscover you
How I’ve longed for you to again, love me
Because I have lived without you
How I’ve longed for you to live again for me.

Oh, how I’ve longed to heal our wounds
Oh, how I’ve longed for us two to join cocoons.
