I Have Written My Life Away
I HAVE WRITTEN MY LIFE AWAY
I have written my life away-
The years have gone by
Without recognition for my work
The time has gone by
And there is not enough left for a career-
I am an old man
Singing the same songs I sang fifty years ago-
Perhaps it is right that no one cared
Perhaps it is right that all my words will go with me to the grave
in silence-
Shalom Freedman
